Who we are
ArsIndex is run by Antonello, Alicante, Spain. Contact: myarsindex@arsindex.com.
What we collect and why
When you request a check we store your email address, the link, photo or details you send, the price and notes you add, the date you gave your consent, and a one-way code made from your internet address to stop abuse. We use this only to prepare your report, send it to you, and ask one question about whether it was useful.
When you join for free, we store your email address and the details you choose to give us (first name, country, usual budget, interests, how you heard about us), so we can send you what you asked for and understand who uses the service.
Photos and screenshots stay private. When your report is sent we delete the original and keep only a small copy inside your private report, which only you can open with your link. It is deleted with your request.
If you tick "Keep me updated", we also send you our monthly price guide and news. This is optional and separate from your request. We ask you to confirm by email first, and you can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
Who else handles your data
Our website is hosted by our hosting provider. To read the artwork details, we pass the page link and its public text, or your photo, to Anthropic's Claude service. We never send your email address to it. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your internet address when the page loads. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We delete requests automatically after 24 months, photo originals as soon as your report is sent (or after 60 days if the request is never completed), and the small copy in your report together with your request. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by writing to the address above, and every email we send has a link to stop our updates.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. If you think we handle your data badly, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD).
Terms of the service
Our report is an independent opinion based on prices listed on public websites. It is not a certified appraisal, a valuation for insurance, or a guarantee of future value. You decide whether to buy. We do not sell artworks and we receive no commission from galleries or artists. The first check is free.
